A recent NBC 10 Growing Greater Philadelphia segment featured Sunoco Logistics and the Mariner East projects and their importance to Pennsylvania’s economy.
The feature reminds viewers that for generations, Sunoco’s Marcus Hook Refinery provided for thousands of jobs and was an engine of the Pennsylvania economy. The video also notes the economic downturn the region experienced following the 2011 decision to close the refinery. However, thanks to both Mariner East projects, thousands of jobs and millions in revenue has returned to the state along with the potential to reach global energy markets through export.
