Last night, D.C. leaders stressed the importance of Pennsylvania in boosting American energy.
Ryan Boyer, business manager of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) spoke on a panel focusing on energy infrastructure at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislative Conference.
He stressed that “you cannot outsource pipelines, you cannot outsource Marcellus Shale.” The NGL deposits in Pennsylvania present real benefits for the state across energy indicators and job development.
According to Boyer, “the layers of pipelines to get Marcellus and Utica shale” bring apprenticeships and jobs to Marcus Hook and across the state. He underscored that “Mariner East 2 saved a city. In comes Energy Transfer Partners, now the city is vibrant.”
