PEIA Welcomes New Leaders After PA Elections

Congratulations to the candidates who won their elections throughout Pennsylvania yesterday. Your dedication and commitment to ensuring a better life for all Pennsylvanians is admirable and the Pennsylvania Energy Infrastructure Alliance looks forward to working with you to provide those opportunities.

Energy infrastructure has a great impact on the state of Pennsylvania. By means and way of the Utica and Marcellus shale, Pennsylvania has tapped into its natural resources to provide the state with affordable energy and support a thriving economy. The Marcus Hook facility has expanded PA’s involvement in energy production and will remain a major asset to the sector. Pipelines are necessary to transport this critical resource to consumers in the safest manner available and as Pennsylvanian’s who live in these communities, our elected officials should support this as well.

This industry is also a thriving source for Pennsylvania’s highly skilled laborers, who have been employed to develop facilities like Marcus Hook in Southeast Pennsylvania, the Shell Cracker in Beaver County and the pipelines that deliver the resources to these facilities – Atlantic Sunrise and Mariner East. These projects are major investments in our communities and they are a great source for family-sustaining jobs for these Pennsylvania workers.
