With the New Year quickly approaching, PEIA would like to take the time to revisit Pennsylvania’s need for safe and comprehensive infrastructure improvements – projects like the Mariner East 2, PennEast, and other pipelines. Earlier this year, PEIA spoke with business and labor leaders about the importance of and their support for the Mariner East 2 project.
All three testimonials emphasize the obvious point that Pennsylvania’s leaders must place high importance on energy infrastructure – and to thoughtfully but quickly move to resolve the remaining hurdles to build these pipelines.
Check out some of our interviews below:
Tom Palisin, executive director of The Manufacturers Association
“This region is, South Central Pennsylvania, is benefitting from the shale gas. That gas is reaching commercial and residential customer in the region.”
David Black, President and CEO of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber & CREDC
“Not only do I support [pipeline infrastructure] but I think it’s necessary for Pennsylvania’s future.”
Commissioner Larry Maggi of Washington County
“I think it’s vital that Washington County and Southwestern Pennsylvania, and quite frankly the whole region, have transmission lines to take our product that we produce here to the world market.”
