Pipelines are crucial arteries that connect natural energy reserves to end-users. To capitalize on the extensive reserves harbored in Pennsylvania shale plays, energy infrastructure has to expand to meet this demand.
According to Mike Butler, the Mid-Atlantic Regional Director for the Consumer Energy Alliance, “If you don’t have the infrastructure to get it to the end-users, you don’t get the benefits of it. It’s a totally missed opportunity if we don’t address it.”
He explains that it boils down to the fact that “We’ve got to get more pipelines. There’s no other way to say it.”
