With temperatures hovering in the teens across Pennsylvania, the greeting “Happy New Year” is being shared through gritted teeth. This is the time of year when home energy delivery is most important; however a New York gas delivery service has asked customers to voluntarily “turn their thermostats back by 5 degrees” due to gas delivery concerns from a facility in Pennsylvania.
While some would have us believe that energy infrastructure is not necessary, bitter cold weather like we are currently experiencing is just the latest example why increased pipeline infrastructure is necessary.
