Pipeline Activist Makes Violent Threats, Subsequently Arrested

Per the Daily Local News an arrest was made in relation to Saturday’s Uwchlan Township supervisors’ online, public forum about the Mariner East pipeline project.

It was reported that West Whiteland resident Rand Joseph Kehler, frustrated with noise from the project’s construction, posted a message on the forum that read “It better be quiet come Monday morning, if not I’m going to pull out an AK and raise some hell.” Those who viewed the post believed the reference to an AK was to the semi – automatic assault style rifles.

Kehler, 67, was charged with terroristic threats, a misdemeanor, and released on bail after his arraignment Sunday.

No matter your opinion on pipeline infrastructure or the Mariner East project specifically, such threatening language is never justified. Those working on the Mariner East project, like each individual, are important members of the Pennsylvania community. Now, more than ever, we must look after one another.
