Over the weekend, The Philadelphia Inquirer published a letter to the editor on behalf of a Downington concerned citizen, John Baxter, discussing the importance of the Mariner East 2 pipeline. In his piece, Baxter notes that he understands those in opposition of the pipelines reasoning, but believes they are using emotion over rational thought. Baxter states, “This is a classic case of needing to see the larger picture and realizing that the ultimate benefits to the community will greatly exceed the costs.” All in all, he highlights that the Mariner East 2 pipeline “is for the greater good.”
