Examining the Indirect Benefits of New Pipelines in Our Region

Chad Jones, Executive Director of the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), explains that “looking at the indirect versus direct impact of the oil and gas industry on our members” the majority have benefited in various indirect ways. Jones qualifies that “we have seen a big bump indirectly – and quite frankly, we are anticipating an even larger bump in the next four to five years.”


Energy infrastructure projects across Pennsylvania benefit people at the community, county and state-level through ranging direct and direct economic impacts. These impacts trend positively across industries in Pennsylvania and will continue to bring benefits to the state as energy infrastructure continues to expand in Pennsylvania.
