The Mariner East 2 pipeline project is a critical infrastructure project that will provide countless benefits for all Pennsylvanians. Pipeline infrastructure development is necessary to move energy products to market. Pennsylvania residents depend on propane for winter heat, increased access to ethane for fueling the manufacturing resurgence, and natural gas liquids for the countless everyday products made from energy products. In addition, according to the United States Department of Transportation Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration, pipelines are the safest way to transport energy resources.
As a Southeast Pennsylvania resident who builds projects like Mariner East 2 for a living, we support this project. Mariner East 2 will be built by highly trained, skilled union workers, who ensure that the pipeline will be built utilizing state of the art technology to ensure safe operation throughout the life of the pipeline.
We urge the Chester County Commissioners to support this project without delay.
