Tribune Live: Pipelines to the future

Douglas Berkley, a resident of Cranberry, published a letter to editor in The Tribune Live, highlighting the economic benefits of energy development and urging Pennsylvania to take advantage of the booming shale industry through pipeline development. Berkley notes that pipelines “are crucial to keeping the boom moving forward” and moving energy resources across the state.

In the piece, Berkley highlights, the Marcus Hook complex as an example of the resurgence of industry and leader in shale development. The facility is generating nearly a thousand local jobs in construction, something Berkley considers to be a blessing to “communities and families.” The letter makes it clear that pipelines, like the Mariner East projects, are key to the future of Pennsylvania energy development.
