Infrastructure Week Brings A New Relationship to PEIA

During National Infrastructure Week, the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce is joining the Pennsylvania Energy Infrastructure Alliance as a new member to support the expansion of energy infrastructure. “Developing a modern energy infrastructure in Pennsylvania is an essential component of fostering a healthy business climate in Williamsport and growing Lycoming County’s economy,” said Vincent J. Matteo, president and CEO of the Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce.

Joining PEIA as our 28th member, The Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce is excited to work with members of Williamsport, Lycoming, surrounding communities, the state, and region to help ensure that Pennsylvania makes the necessary investments to support our domestic energy industry and guarantee that products get to consumers in the safest, most efficient means available.

“Our state has a unique opportunity to create a robust and diverse economy that benefits present and future generations,” Matteo added. “We joined the Pennsylvania Energy Infrastructure Alliance, a group that supports the development of energy infrastructure in our communities, because our members know that the only way we can benefit from this opportunity is if we have a safe and reliable way to transport our natural resources.”

The Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce has served north central Pennsylvania for more than 130 years. It is an organization that fully understands the needs of Pennsylvania and its people. Likewise, PEIA is excited for their involvement to continue the work of promoting the need for adequate pipeline infrastructure in Pennsylvania.
